Frequently Asked Questions
How much does it cost?
There are two memberships that we offer. A 6-month membership is $140 per month, or $770 paid in full. A 12-month membership is $125 per month, or $1375 paid in full.* All monthly payments are due on the first of the month unless coordinated with Academy staff prior to the due date. Ask us about our family discount if you're signing up more than 1 member!
Our homeschool program costs $75 per student per month.* Our homeschool program is priced differently so we can pursue funding through a local school district (funding requests are put in every school year).
When you sign up, we'll also have you purchase a uniform and gear package. This package will hace everything you need for our classes. The cost ranges from $149 to $299 and depends on which classes you attend and whether you're in children's or adult's classes.

What do I need to get started?
The first thing is you need to know what program you're interested in. (Don't worry; if you aren't sure we can help you figure that out). After that, you can come in and try out a class (for example, if you're looking at doing boxing, kickboxing, and BJJ, you can try out one of each of those classes). Trial classes are free, no obligation. And the last thing you'll need before signing up is to sign a waiver. Then you're ready to go!
What do I wear to my trial class?
For striking classes (boxing, Muay Thai) all you need is a t-shirt and shorts. Some people also like to wear spatts or yoga pants underneath their shorts. For Brazilian Jiu jitsu classes, it's really important that you wear shorts or sweats with drawstrings. In BJJ we often grab each other's clothes, and it's important to make sure your pants stay in place. Other than that, just make sure you're wearing something comfortable that you can move around in (and don't mind getting sweaty in).
I already have my own gear. Do I have to buy yours?
At the very least, we require our members to be in uniform. For striking classes this means Academy fight shorts and a rashguard/T-shirt. For BJJ, the uniform is either an Academy gi or Academy fight shorts/rashguard. Other than that, if you want to use your own gear that shouldn't be a problem.
I don't want to fight or spar. Do I have to?
As a general rule, we highly encourage anyone who wants to to compete as frequently as they can. But if you don't want to compete we won't require you to. Lots of people enjoy training for the sake of training, getting in shape, stress relief, or many other reasons. There will be some light sparring to help you understand the application of the skills you're learning, but we will not require "hard" sparring.
